SURF fellows will work in the lab of a College of Pharmacy faculty member, who will be their primary mentor for the duration of the award. SURF program mentors are listed below. Please choose three (3) mentors when applying for the SURF program. Every effort will be made to match fellows to one of the three mentors selected at the time of application.

I feel strongly about sharing the following about my mentor: I feel I’ve built a relationship with her that is much stronger than those with mentors at other research institutions. This was one of the best aspects of my experience at UIC. She took the time to meet with me on a regular basis, answer questions about my project, discuss different papers, give me background on her work, and help me see the big picture and clinical significance of the project.
